Leanne at Monochrome Madness gives us free reign again this week. I decided to show a bit of the old harbour of Chania (Χανιά), reputedly the most beautiful town on Crete (Κρήτη). I cannot tell for sure since I lack the comparision. Chania is beautiful with it’s narrow, crooked alleys and the harbour – but when are many tourists too many tourists?

A good subject Elke. Love the water splash

I wonder if they ever get a real high tide. Because the water is flush on the pavement all around the harbour.

That could be a problem with rising sea levels

The area around the water certainly looks fantastic Elke, I would love to take photos there.

I would love to go there on a sunny winter’s day or at night – with hopefully less people. Or at least just on a day out on my own without the two males (grandson+husband) deciding where to go. 😀 Even so, I think your photos would turn out much much better. The scenery seems to be particularly suited to you + your skills.
