This is a view from the Murmeltiertal, the Valley of the Marmots, in the Bernese Alps in Switzerland. I waited here for my fellow hikers to return who went up the hill (I had problems with the altitude and didn’t want to chance it). I heard quite a few marmots whistling, saw a few scrambling shadow but couldn’t get a picture (it was a fw years ago and I didn’t have a camera with a decent zoom either).

I saw a couple there, out of the corner of my eye. After lying on the gras (and stones) for ages without even twitching.
