It was our annual town festival this weekend (Friday to Monday, Monday being mostly for the locals) and that means that everybody in the designated area (the old part of town) can register their yard, garage, patio etc. as an impromptu pub. Here are photos of me looking through the entrances of a few of them.
Supplies have to be replenished and they go through this little window.
Occasionally, different things go through as well.

We did, thank you. I couldn’t decide whether my students should whisper this morning (on account of my head) or shout (on account of my ears. To be clear, I had no alcohol yesterday but the music out of every pub and yard was so loud that my ears went deaf and my head exploded in slow motion. For the people running those pubs it’s really hard work. Last year they estimated close to 60,000 visitors.

😄 The only oompah I heard was on Friday to accompany the dancers in traditional costume. Otherweise, many tastes were catered for. From Techno vs. Punk to Rock and Folk and Pop. Decision time: What ‘s more important: the right drink or the right music?

I feel bad that I couldn’t make it..spent all the time indoors in the hot days 🥵. But I’m glad that you had fun 😀.

It was hot. And it feels hotter when there is a crowd. But some places had an ingenious thing – a water mister at the entrance. That felt great.
