It’s often difficult to get a full view of a half-timbered house because so many of them are built in narrow streets and alleyways.

In our town the look up is even more pronounced because the old part of town is built on a slope.

These houses are only two stories high on the other side..

Hence there are steep roads and lots of steps if you want to get to market square.

But on four days of the year, it’s at least easier to go do down.
