RED and also green
I thought I had to add to geriatrix’ Ampelmännchen (the little red and green men on a pedestrian traffic light). The ordinary, everyday pictograms on German traffic lights are fairly boring, so boring that I never took a picture of them (I’ll remedy that soon). But besides the cute Mainzelmännchen in Mainz which geriatrix has featured, I recently found two more special editions:

These two do their duty in Frankenthal and are honouring the Strohhutfest in that town (the straw hat festival – I’ve never heard of it).

And these are two wine growers from the town of Bad Dürkheim, famous for hosting the largest wine fest in the world.
Anybody else knows of special edition Ampelmännchen?

Nah. We are standard stuff here that I know of. Nothing as fancy as that

I was getting curious and quite a few towns/cities have individualised “Ampelmännchen” at least on some prominent, touristy spots, i.e. Bonn has a Beethoven look-alike. And Frankfurt and München have same sex couples! It might be an idea to travel around to find some/all of those.
