This parish hall in Schriesheim has been changed into a café and a meeting venue (still under the auspices of the neighbouring protestant church), The windows have mostly stayed the same.

I’m not sure if chair-o-planes or swing caroussel is the right word in English but we call these fairground rides Kettenkarussell or chain caroussels.
A Sky to Meet an Emperor
We’ve had a few glorious days this week. Blue skies, no clouds. And I was reading Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver with our grandson. And Luke says that on the day he wants to meet the Emperor of Mandala. And a blue sky like that is often called Kaiserwetter (although Kaiser means emperor I think a fit translation would be “royal weather”).
