This old building and the surrounding area is being renewed – some of the old building is being torn down, some of them are kept.

A Risqué Name
The Ragtag Daily Prompt and Fandango’s prompt for FOWC came together serendipitously for me today.
And yes, I am known by this name. That’s the name many people have in the phonebooks. And they call me that name, too, although often only Knicker or Knickers. I have T-shirts and jackets with that name and even a business card with that name on it. It’s difficult to explain to outsiders although the story behind it is a lot less risqué than what the embroidered picture suggests.

The photo of the cormorants is from this week. I observed the seagulls last week. The ships came my way last summer.

Driving through a wine growing area, almost every second house sells their own wine. The signs are more or less elaborate.

The thief was giving Haskoll a look that said, Man, why NOT the pelican?”
These contraptions are cleaning the water of the local lake (not a natural one, but excavated) and are called pelicans. A part of the function is to circulate the water from below to the surface.

Home Is Where the Heart Is
When it started snowing one evening this January I looked out of the window and saw that our entry had been used for a reverse manoeuvre by a passing motorist leaving beautiful traces in the snow. I didn’t argue with the sentiment.
