There were ten geese not leaping.
For Jude’s Twelve Days of Christmas
The photoshopped versions are all cropped. A I changed the shot to monochrome but applied selective colouring to the orange of the beak and the area around the eye. B No change to shot A except the selective colour has been changed from orange to blue. C The focus around the head of the goose in the centre has been kept but the rest of the photo is taken out of focus. D I used lunapic.com to change the photo into a picture in the style of Rembrandt.

amongst domestic geese
turned into a wild fracas
before settling down again when everyone left.

After falling off my bike I haven’t been out much (except for work) and my camera has mostly stayed in its bag. But I’ve been back in the saddle for a couple of days now and yesterday on my way from the dentist (only a check-up) I made a detour and I came across this meadow with about 200 geese – being fattened up for St Martin’s and Christmas … thinking about it like this is kind of depressing.
