12 + 1 moduls to German proficiency
That’s the building of the offices of the school where I’m teaching. The course which each immigrant has to take is modular. For students who are not able to write in Latin letters it is 12 moduls to learn to read, write and speak German plus one modul explaining German culture, politics, and history.
NB: It is possibly to just take the test if you speak German and are confident enough to pass the citizenship test (for which there are numerous apps to prepare you).

Do I care?
In this abanoned sculpture park some works have inscriptions in weird German and in Latin. Not being able to speak Latin I tried online translating programmes and got varying results, depending partly on where I define the borders of words (e.g. utosis or ut osis?) or whether I pick English or German as target language.
After 10 minutes of trying to find something definite I’m no longer very keen to find a proper meaning. So here is: Whatever –

The house of advocates
In Bad Tölz is a house, called “House of Advocates”. In German, an Advokat is a synonym for lawyer or barrister, one who pleads the cause of another. I couldn’t confirm where the name comes from and if it originally had anything to do with lawyers.
Today it is split into an event venue and living apartments. But the various landlords of the house have been advocating performance arts of various kinds since the 1930s.
