It may look like a rainbow but it is closer related to halos. It’s a circumzenithal arc. That’s the technical term.
I prefer to think that the sky smiled at me.

Steps, Steps and more Steps
I’ve just come back from the Middle Rhine wine region (between Bingen and Koblenz), part of which is a UNESCO heritage site. It is quite breathtaking to see the steep slope vineyards on either side. Getting up the steps between the different vineyards must be even more breathtaking, literally.
