Memories in cinema mode

Actually, it was only a Super 8 film (yes, I’m THAT old) and this photo stood on a nightstand next to a bed with a murdered me in it. It’s the only time I starred in a movie (okay, a super 8) and I got the part because the first year students had to choose their actors from the second years.

I photographed this with my smartphone from an old discolored black and white photo and enhancing it with a mixture of sepia colouring, softening the contrast and using a vignette frame.

My computer looked like this (almost)

that’s why it was in hospital for a week. Incidentally, the reason for the problem was me trying to transfer my photos from the phone (mainly taken for this challenge – !) to the pc combined with a faulty connection slot. I live with a fairly good computer fixer but he cannot make spare parts magically appear, hence the hospital stay.

The effect is called “paper” and yes, I relied A LOT on paper during the last week.

Let’s pray (not)

I had planned something else for today but when I visited my sister today another visitor captivated our attention. She sat in the middle of the stone verandah and was caught in a glas to be safely transported to a flower bed. The card underneath was barely readable but with the art deco filter it became very visible (it’s something about a 44th wedding anniversary which is ironic because it is my sister’s 60th anniversary today. Anyway, I wanted to get away from the Meta filters but this one was just too good.
