Just before my computer decided it needed a break I saw a post by Tourmaline about toys and (fallible) memories.

This is the oldest toy of mine still in my possession, a cuddly toy, a bunny called Schnucki, which was given to me by my grandfather (he died when I was seven, so a few years earlier). Schnucki has moved with me between three continents. Unfortunately my kids did not take to him. Maybe that is fortunate because it means I still have him after over sixty years in fairly good condition. This edit of a smartphone photo was done online with Lunapic.com, an effect called “shattered”. It brings out the slightly shaggy fur and his cuddliness – after all these years.
