I saw this magpie last week sitting up in a tree and I marvelled how beautiful it was.

They are around but usually don’t let me get close.

There are exceptions to the rule.

  3. Seems the general consensus is that they are noisy bullies; I often see then hassling cats as well as other birds. That being said, they are pretty looking birds, particularly when you see the blue in their plumage 😃

    1. There aren’t that many around here. Many more crows or possibly rooks and for sheer numbers they seem to be a lot more problematic for smaller birds.
