I saw this magpie last week sitting up in a tree and I marvelled how beautiful it was.
They are around but usually don’t let me get close.
There are exceptions to the rule.

I hate them, they bully the little birds

Seems the general consensus is that they are noisy bullies; I often see then hassling cats as well as other birds. That being said, they are pretty looking birds, particularly when you see the blue in their plumage 😃

There aren’t that many around here. Many more crows or possibly rooks and for sheer numbers they seem to be a lot more problematic for smaller birds.
