We have two that operate on the Clarence River downstream from town

I hope they keep it up for a long time. This particular one has competition from a bridge close by but a ferry is just something special.

They will be there for a long time. The river is wide and there’s not much traffic between sides of the river down there to warrant a bridge

It’s only competition is the freeway. If the freeway is jammed, this is the only way around the Willamette River for a long ways. Unless you go way west or east. I don’t think it will be taken down for along time.
