The Sonoran Desert toad is toxic. Lick them and you might get hallucinations. Eat them (as some dogs have apparently tried) and you might die.
I wonder if there is an antidote. I wonder if there is an antidote for the toad – not to be unkind but if I looked like that I might need an antidote everytime I looked in the mirror.

Quite possibly. It was in the Frankfurt Zoo and I was there with an excited child who didn’t want to watch a toad or possibly two who didn’t move.

Oh I love the zoo, getting to see all the amazing wildlife. Children enjoy the zoo at 100 miles and hour dont they haha!

Well, nature made that toad so ugly that predators and people might be repelled enough by its appearance to steer clear.
