Nine years ago I travelled to the UK in the wake of my husband who wanted to see the Springboks play live in the RWC. We got tickets for Birmingham and Newcastle, Springboks vs. Samoa and vs. Scotland. It was a really, really wonderful experience – rugby fans are the best and it’s the reason why I enjoyed myself so much.

Oh, and yes, there was a match.

For those who know: the most important person in that shot is arguably the best rugby referee, Nigel Owens. Springbok vs. Scotland and one of my favourite rugby players, no, not a Springbok after all but the Scottish captain, Greig Laidlaw.
