The Joy of Living

I spent last weekend in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, in the town of Bad Tölz. On our walk up to the Kalvarienberg my camera battery gave up (and my spare was back at the hostel) and I had to resort to using my phone. You can see the river Isar below and the mountains as a backdrop. Sunday morning was not as clear as the day before so the view was a quite hazy.

    1. What a pity. All those seas south of Munich (Tegernsee, Starnberger See, Chiemsee, to name the largest) are lovely. The area is also highly “touristified” but there are ways to avoid the worst aspects of that. I also went alone because my husband had a no-go from his doctor. Hopefully they both get better soon.

    1. I think it’s loosing it’s capacity but normally I don’t leave the house without a backup. On this long weekend it happened twice! (my friends are not a good influence)

    1. It’s not called hangover trail for nothing. … But if truth be told: I had literally 2 bottles of lager that weekend and a mimosa just after the photo was taken. They only had bottled beer (not a fan, I prefer draught) and lots of IPAs (which I don’t like at all).
