When you move to Germany and are applying for permanent residency you are required to complete an integration course – consisting of 600 hours German language classes and a 100 hours orientation class (i.e. history, cultural norms, everyday living etc.). I am teaching such classes to illiterate applicants (illiterate can mean having to learn a first or second script), i.e. 1200 hours language classes.
