Henry eyes the eggs

Henry has always been partial to Easter decorations, specifically the eggs (in contrast, he leaves Christmas baubles alone),

These are in the neighbour’s garden – they are save from him as the egg (Ei) on the right proclaims.

    1. Easter deco has always been quite popular here. I remember colouring eggs as a kid and making various decorations at school and in nursery school, bunnies and chicklets and lambs and things. I always liked Easter better than Christmas, not only because I prefered the decorations but because of the trees flowering.

      1. Oh, colouring eggs (onion skins a favourite) is a thing in our family too. Which reminds me, I forgot to do hard boiled egg people for my littlest granddaughters when they were here this week 😕.

      2. I did the hardboiling. Then we wanted to shrink wrap the eggs (it’s fun fast method for kids who have no artistic bone in their body or no willingness to spend time on something fiddly). You get these plastic rings with pictures on them, put them around the egg and place them in hot water. Within a second = coloured egg. But my husband had considered the shrink wrap waste and hat thrown it away. So we had minimalist eggs this year.

      3. No, you’re right. But I’m getting lazy. A friend has chickens which lay reddish eggs, they look similar to eggs coloured with red onion skins. That seems to be the most eco-friendly plus lazy solution.
