

I tried to find a term describing young boars but could only find the term suckling pig for domestic pigs (and actually mostly the ones turning up on restaurant menues). On the lines of spotted fawn I could call them striped piglets. In German, they are called “Frischlinge”, something like freshlings or possibly younglings.

I had no idea baby pigs were striped. They are adorable.

Only the wild boar kind. It’s a kind of camouflage I guess. Ich checked warthog piglets are not striped but bushpigs (in Africa) are also striped.

I’ve never seen young piglets with stripes like those.

It’s the standard European wild boar piglet. They all look like that.
